Wieser House

In the north-western part of Terezín is the former palace of the military contractor Kašpar Wieser, who made a fortune from supplying bricks for the construction of the fortress. The house is a unique building that represents the lifestyle of the wealthy bourgeoisie and nobility compared to other modest houses in the town. It has a richly decorated classical façade with late baroque elements. It follows the style of the French town palaces brought to us earlier by the Baroque architect Jean Battiste Mathey.
